Dax Cooke is a visionary entrepreneur with a keen eye for identifying and developing opportunities, which makes him a charismatic leader. Jonathan Dax Cooke began his career with Citigroup’s Capital Markets in conjunction with the Culverhouse School of Business work study program at University of Alabama.
His Citibank – Culverhouse experience seeded a domestic and international capital markets perspective that exists to this day. Dax Cooke is a three time recipient of NAIFA’s 40 under 40 award.
In 2015, Dax established Medellin based Farmfolio. From the beginning, hard work, intelligent decision making, and “true believer” private equity capital made Farmfolio’s frenetic growth possible. Today, the company employs 200+ individuals and is a major agri-business development and leader with exports that include Coconut, Lime, Teak, and Avocado.

Through the Jonathan Dax Cooke Scholarship, Mr. Jonathan Dax Cooke gladly offers tuition assistance one time per calendar year. His award is presented to the student whose essay best demonstrates leadership, determination, and passion. One $1,000 scholarship opportunity is being offered by Jonathan Dax Cooke Scholarship.
Application Information:
The 2022-2023 Jonathan Dax Cooke Scholarship will make a $1,000 award to one student currently attending an accredited college or university located within the United States. The award date is April 1, 2023, with funds to be deposited soon thereafter into the winning students financial aid account.

Essay Question
Please compose a 700 - 800 word essay addressing the following question:
Discuss a time in your life in which you have failed at something other than an academic experience. How did you confront the failure and what did you learn from it?
